Health Standards - Guidelines for Illness:
A child is not admitted if he or she is
known to have exhibited any symptoms in the preceding 24-hour period given on
our list of very specific daily health criteria (i.e. temperature over 100°).
The child is sent home if he or she develops any of these symptoms while at the
center.

Medications:
Happy Home has a stringent set of guidelines that are followed in accordance
with the State of Virginia licensing requirements. Generally, the only
medications given will be those that are prescribed by a physician.

Accidents or Injuries:
In the event of an accident Happy Home has
a set of guidelines that are followed. An incident report will be filled out and
noted in the child's permanent records and parents are notified. Please contact

Hygiene:
Children through the age of 5 will
frequently be required to wash their hands and face. A change of clothes must
also be provided by the parent in the event that the clothing becomes overly
soiled. All 4 and 5 year olds brush their teeth after the last snack.
