 Our High Scope preschool curriculum at Happy Home is planned to provide a challenging,
yet enjoyable experience for children. At every level of development,
children follow a flexible curriculum; mastering skills in the core areas of
math and language development. We recognize the physical, socio-emotional,
and intellectual uniqueness of each child and strive to provide for his or
her special needs and abilities. We encourage children to think critically
and explore their curiosity, as well as develop skills, self confidence and
discipline to learn throughout life. The preschool child is at his apex of
awareness and discovery. Each child is encouraged and guided to become more
aware a nd to make new discoveries of social relationships through art,
rhythm and music, language arts, science, nature, carpentry, cooking,
physical education, manipulative and perceptual experiences. This enables us
to provide each child with many opportunities for cognitive growth. Our
summer program focuses on educational field trips and swimming classes.
